Watts Bar replies:

Dose rates on refueling bridge during fuel movement is 1 to 2 mr/hr
general area

No lead on the bridge, engineering won't approve it.

Subject: Powernet: Couple Quick Benchmark Question

San Onofre would like to know:

1) What are the general area dose rates on your refuel machine during
core off-load/on-load?

2) Do you install any shielding on your refuel machine (deck or
handrail) ? If so, what type (lead/tungsten, blanket/sheet etc.)?

Thank you,
