Dohn, We perform quarterly inspections and once during an outage inspection of the cases. There was a potential FME concern raised. Security force workers usually have the most damaged cases... maybe because of all the stuff strapped to their cloths that can strike against the case??
We can routinely replace 10 to 20 cases a quarter due to the damage to the case near the pin. We don't have too many pins that need replacement, but all cases are inspected before being placed into use. We recently saw some with damage, and after investigating, found quite a few more, ranging from mild cracking to broken pieces in the clip area. We replaced them and sent them to the vendor to take a look at.
