Browns Ferry also sees occasional dose rate alarms due to the dosimeter
being dropped. We will always pull the histogram from the dosimeter and
evaluate the event

Subject: Powernet: Dropped ED registering faulty dose rates

Good morning,

We have recently started using DMC2000S electronic dosimeters and have
received several reports in the field of dose rate alarms after the
device has has been dropped.
We are currently working with the vendor to analyze the specific
dosimeters in questions, but I'm wondering if anyone else in the
industry has experienced this problem.

I would like to know if this issue is specific to some of the dosimeters
we have received, or if this has affected other plants?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
