1. OSL

2. Quarterly.

3. Provides a periodic true-up of exposure margin and lets the plant mgr
know if they need an exposure recovery plan sooner rather than later. Looking
at going to semi-annual in 2015 to reduce cost, but a processing really isn’t
that much money compared to not knowing the true margin to the annual dose goal
that effects everyone’s bonus. Also expect an increase in dose as a few more
dosimeters will now post dose over 6 months where they were less than the
reportable threshold for 3 months. We did the semiannual experiment about 10
yrs ago and decided to stay quarterly, but cost pressures have become more
significant. Expect to go semiannual for next year and then review the
decision at the end of the yr.

Subject: Powernet: Dosimeter Reads

PSEG Nuclear would like to know:

1. What type of dosimeter of legal record (ex. TLD, OSL, etc.) do you use?

2. How often do you change them out to be read? (ex. Quarterly,
semi-annually, annually, etc.)

3. Is there any particular reason for the frequency chosen for dosimeter
reads?

Thank you.
Alysse
