Subject: [powernet] Quick benchmark question concerning background dosimeters

*** Exercise caution. This is an EXTERNAL email. DO NOT open attachments or

If your site permits employees to take their primary dosimetry (TLD or OSL)
home with them, does your site distribute sets of background dosimeters across
the local region to monitor variances in background?

Sequoyah currently makes six sets of ten dosimeters each that we send to six
employee's homes across our local region to monitor the background variation
compared to the site's background. We are considering discontinuing this
practice, as we see very little variation.

1. Does your site do this or something similar?

BNP employees take their TLD's home each day

2. If so, what is the driver for doing so?

Prior to OLNC implementation, Hydrogen Water Chemistry flow increased dose
rates in the Protected Area and the Owner Controlled Area

Site:

How many regional locations:
 34 Area TLDS

How many Dosimeters per location:
1 TLD at each Location

Thank you in advance!
