1. Does your site do this or something similar? yes, 6 regions, 15 OSL at each
location

2. If so, what is the driver for doing so? procedure, verify no significant

Subject: [powernet] Quick benchmark question concerning background dosimeters

If your site permits employees to take their primary dosimetry (TLD or OSL)
home with them, does your site distribute sets of background dosimeters across
the local region to monitor variances in background?

Sequoyah currently makes six sets of ten dosimeters each that we send to six
employee’s homes across our local region to monitor the background variation
compared to the site’s background. We are considering discontinuing this
practice, as we see very little variation.
