1. Yes

2. We use the Mirion/Canberra Apex Gamma with LabSOCS characterized
detectors. For the mathematical efficiency calibrations, we perform an annual
verification count to ensure that the characterization is still valid. Any
empirically derived efficiency calibrations are performed annually as are
energy calibrations.

3. For the mathematical calibrations, if the verification is satisfactory,
we keep using the old one. For empirically derived efficiencies, we use the
new one (Apex makes it hard to do otherwise).

North Anna is benchmarking the industry on Count Room MCA calibration.

1. Do you calibrate your MCAs annually?

2. What process do you use to calibrate your MCAs? For example ordering
sources for each geometry or ordering a single source to verify no significant
change in detector efficiencies?

3. Do you install new calibration values after completing detector
energy/efficiency calibrations or continue to use the old values if
energy/efficiency values have not changed significantly?

Thank you in advance for you help!
