I'd say it is beta. The kernel mechanisms are almost the same as in-kernel
swsusp and (at least without encryption, have not tried it yet) it works
as good as swsusp (my personal experience). And powersave SVN trunk is also
still alpha or beta at best at the moment, so it is a good fit IMO :-)
These SVN trunk versions will go into openSUSE factory where everything else
will be prepared to handle userspace suspend, so it should work fine there.
I will warn the users of these alpha distribution releases in the release
notes, so they know about it.
I did of course not put this change into the stable branches.

And yes, i am guilty of not really looking into suspend2 yet, so there is no
"native" suspend2 support in powersave yet. There is however a hook added by
Holger to just run the hibernate script at the apropriate time, IIUC.
