What an impressive report, mate! i really appreciated it n would love to read more of it. But, as a response to the invitation by the Central Board of PPI (DP- PPI) for any criticism or evaluation from the members regarding the activities of the PPI, there's one thing that i'd like to say here concerning the program that's been held so called "Monthly Discussion of the PPI". Having read the report submitted by Asnadi, it's very unfortunate that the program i've mentioned above was confined only for the Central Board members without including any of the ordinary members like mario, izam, myself or any other members. As opposed to the name of the program itself, it definitely is meant for all the members of the PPI with some anouncement or invitation prior to the execution of the program. It seemed that you guys havent learnt from the previous experience when in the maiden realization of the program i was 'abrubtly' asked to prepare a paper for the discussion early in the third week of September 2004 (if im not mistaken) and plenty of confusion on some members who would like to follow the program. I deeply regretted, and dissappointed with, the decision by the Board not to invite all the members of the PPI to attend that program. Had the invitation been spread to all the members, I, ex-Dodo's room mate here in Delhi, staying just above the PPI secretariate, would have been able to join the discussion and witnessed the highly reported presentation by my mate. VERY UNFORTUNATE. Besides, if my memory is not lapsed, it had been decided that the monthly discussion program would be held in the third week of the month. Following the maiden discussion held in PPI in September where I was asked as the presenter, it was decided that the next presenter in the month of October was supposed to be Mr Rizqon Khamami, the Vice-President of the PPI and would take place in Musholla KBRI with politics as the main topic. I would like to know what's then the excuses given by Mr. Vice- President for not giving the paper himself after given more than three-weeks time to prepare for the paper, and instead putting Dodo as an impressive replacement presenter? Why there should have been some delay? Why the program was a kinda 'closed' program, held in the sideline of the three-monthly review meeting of the PPI and not as a 'real' PPI monthly program? Any explanation? I'am sorry to say that I started to have some doubt on my mind on the commitment of the members of the central board to respect the decision taken. As a suggestion, I think that the PPI should have provided some concrete programs for the whole year so that there won't be any impression that the activities performed by the PPI are 'hastyly' prepared. This will help us in learning to be a professional in our field. Should we neglect and waste the suggestion given by Wisnu Setiawan, M.Arch, during the 'Organisational Workshop in PPI" held in the first week of September 2004? Because, with a clear-cut, pre-planned program, the whole year would not be 'wasted' just like that and the real 'improvement' of PPI could be achieve. To conclude this 'uneg-uneg', I hope that we can learn more from the experiences that we had for the betterment of our PPI. Keep the chins up guys! You guys have given the commitment to 'serve' the PPI. Only time will tell that you guys are really meant for it! Viva La PPI-India!
