Bung, langkah politik itu perlu untuk menunjukkan sikap politik, tapi tidak berarti kita jadi bodoh dan tolol.
Memprotes AS bisa dengan langkah simbolis. Misalnya, membatasi penggunaan SEBAGIAN produk Amerika. Tapi produk yang memang mutlak kita butuhkan, dan kita tak punya alternatif, ya jangan dong. Hanya orang Indonesia goblok yang di zaman informasi ini menolak pakai komputer, hanya karena programnya Windows dan CPU yang buatan Amerika. Amerika pun akan tahu, pembatasan penggunaan produk Amerika itu langkah simbolis. Dalam hubungan diplomatik itu biasa. Signal itu artinya: "Indonesia tidak suka dengan sikap AS dan Israel, tetapi Indonesia tak mau bermusuhan dengan AS." Persis yang AS lakukan pada Indonesia. Embargo militer sebagian terhadap TNI. Spare parts untuk F-16 ditahan. Tapi spare parts untuk pesawat Hercules (pesawat angkut, bukan pesawat tempur) boleh dijual, nggak masalah. AS cuma mau bilang: "TNI masih perlu mereformasi diri. Tapi kami ingin tetap berteman dengan TNI." Itu namanya berpolitik, tetapi pakai otak. Komputer tetap dipakai, tetapi kita tak perlu apel Amerika. Jadi kita bisa menolak apel Amerika. Toh banyak alternatif apel dari Cina, atau Malang. Masa soal begitu saja harus dijelaskan panjang lebar begini.... (saya tadinya malas komentar.
