Ini menurut Discovery Channel military edition 2008. Tentara AS dianggap terlalu mengandalkan piranti militer dan peralatan digital. Soal keterampilan individual, Kopassus adalah urutan nomor 3 di dunia, hanya kalah oleh SAS (Inggris) dan Mossad ( Israel) ! Sedangkan Kopassus adalah no. 2 di dunia (no. 1 adalah Delta Force AS), dalam hal melakukan operasi militer strategis (seperti: intelijen, pengerahan dan gerakan pasukan, penyusupan, dan serangan). Asal tahu saja, 80% trainer pasukan komando di negara-negara Afrika Utara adalah dari Kopassus.
