Back in the old days of Usenet, when George Woltman was just a lad, there was a rule in the Universe which has served me well. For some reason, the rule has fallen into disuse in this list. So I will repeat it for the benefit of anyone who has either forgotten it or never heard it.
DO NOT FEED THE TROLL This thread has been going on for a while. No mathematics is coming out of it. The only worthwhile thing from the whole sad episode has been the pun recently cited by Michael Ecker. It has probably been well established by now that those who have ideas in mathematics should be willing to open them to peer review.
