a few weeks ago, I upgraded to build 125 (though I never tried printing with that build) and then, when it became available, to b126. I'd been using b111 before that.
Before this upgrade, I could print to my HP officejet J5750 nicely (everything worked fine, when I'd switch it on, I'd get the notice, etc.), now, when- or whatever I try to print (test page or a .pdf via acroread or a .ps via 'lp -c -d ...'), nothing happens (no blinking light on the printer, no error message), and I see these messages in /var/adm/messages (massaged for readability): uri-interface: [ID 702911 lpr.error] unrecognized "-o serial=CN7BDC30QQ04T0" option, ignored hpijs[1691]: [ID 438447 daemon.error] prnt/hpijs/hpijs.cpp 123: unable to set Quality=134512108, ColorMode=-16795644, MediaType=135615420, err=134511495 hpijs[1691]: [ID 602418 daemon.error] prnt/hpijs/hpijs.cpp 125: following will be used Quality=134512108, ColorMode=-16795644, MediaType=135615420 hpijs[1691]: [ID 469884 daemon.error] prnt/hpijs/services.cpp 575: unable to set paper size=134511344, err=-18730259, width=4.8459e-270, height=6.7e-316 hpijs[1699]: [ID 438447 daemon.error] prnt/hpijs/hpijs.cpp 123: unable to set Quality=134512108, ColorMode=-16795644, MediaType=135615420, err=134511495 hpijs[1699]: [ID 602418 daemon.error] prnt/hpijs/hpijs.cpp 125: following will be used Quality=134512108, ColorMode=-16795644, MediaType=135615420 hpijs[1699]: [ID 469884 daemon.error] prnt/hpijs/services.cpp 575: unable to set paper size=134511344, err=-18730259, width=4.8459e-270, height=6.7e-316 research got me nowhere. just for completeness' sake: this machine+printer combo was working fine in August (see above), and still does under Vista.
