Just checked the apple site. If yours is the new one it will support
ddr2700 so runing at 333mhz, that suppports the bus speed of 167mhz bus.
Bascially ddr is just two sd ram mdules back to back running in
parralell as I understand. So the figure of 333mhz is actually 166.5 so
the advertised bus speed of 167 is right. I suppose its like a raid, it
sort of splits the data into two halves and processes it in two halfs
there by halving the time to run through the ram. I suppose if you are
using sdram at 133 mhz now the jump will probably see a 50% increase in
system speed according to reports I have read on the web. As they say
the jump from 2100ddr to ddr 2700 gives up to 25% increase in data
speed.
