Dear list,
although I've had PS6.01 for well over 18 months now I've only just tried to
use the "Adobe Online" feature for the first time. I followed the prompt to
download the Adobe Online Sware which seemed to go well, I registered etc
and browsed the site. After taking a break I came back and Pshop froze on
start up at the "Initializing...." screen. Several reboots etc and nogo,
although Imageready does start normally when using a desktop shortcut .
Adobes support Knowledge base suggested removing the Preferences file and
allowing Pshop to create a newone. This worked and I've got Pshop back. My
questions are:
A: Silly/stupid me hasn't made a record/backup of my working old prefs file
and I can't remember the various color settings I had worked out. Although
it does seem to have remembered some of my old settings. I think the default
RGB colour space is Srgb, but the new file is Adobe 98, which is what my old
setting was. Is it possible to retrieve this info from the "Adobe Photoshop
6.0 Prefs Old.psp"?
B: The software took a while to download so it was probably around 1/2 -1
MB. Pshp says it can't find the S Ware and asks if I want to download it,
again. But I assume the Sware is still on my system somewhere. Any problems
if I reinstall it over the top of it, and is it likely to choke Pshop again?
C: Adobe Online seems to be a handy short cut- I've tried finding its area
on the Adobe website with no luck. Does anyone have its address if it turns
out I can't use the shortcut anymore?

Thanks in advance!
