Having been to your web site, I am sure you are! But CCD scanners have
an inherent disadvantage in seeing into dark areas and light/dark
junctions quite apart from other aspects.

Just to pick up on the fading aspect.....we ran some tests a few years
ago when Marrutt started to offer the Lyson inks, and were very
surprised by the results! At the same time we tested the fading on
several RA4 papers and the Ciba and speaking from memory these were the
results on the non ink jet materials in a west facing window.
Kodak 4-5 weeks, Ciba 9 months, Fuji Super gloss 18 months. This was
the point where the print had altered by a significant amount. The Ciba
at nine months was falling off it's support as well. Long live Fuji I
say!
I should mention that the same test showed the Epson to be unacceptable
in days with the Marrutt Lyson product not doing well, though I do not
think it's useful to dwell on that as hopefully have been considerable
changes to the product.
