I've had some focus problem with my one week old S2 as well. The dynamic auto focus seemed will take some getting used to (using the thumb toggle to change the selected area) and one of my lenses seems to hunt more than others. Also when shooting using an IR trigger on the hotshoe the AF assist light doesn't seem to activate ? I'm putting most of this down to teething trouble as the shots that were in focus were nice and sharp. The RAW files take an absolute AGE to produce though, but the quality seems worth the wait.
