Bob Croxford and others who are looking into this (me included) are properly interested in such things as the Mindstor, but considerable discussion of this on the US-based DP Review forums, and http://www.juergenspecht.com/d1scussion/ for users of Nikon DSLRs, reveals that some buyers encounter reliability problems. It seems to me that with Mindstor especially, there might be an issue of quality control. But these gizmos are nevertheless attractive, being very compact & portable, and one fifth the price of a G4 Powerbook; as (I think) Callan said, downloading a microdrive into a digital wallet while shooting on another would be a handy way to work. If there's one of these "digital wallets" that seems to have a high level of reliability I'd be very interested to hear about it.
