Sounds like you've been stung too Joe!

After five months of banging my head against a brick wall, I'd given the
City Solicitor a deadline of last Friday to respond to my claim and
threatened to take my case to a solicitor if he didn't. Amazingly, he sent
me an email this afternoon offering me 2000 - "...in full and final
settlement of the claim you have made against the Council. The offer is made
entirely without prejudice and without any admission of liability."

Good news that they accept that they owe me. Bad news that they are offering
what I feel is a derisory sum bearing in mind that they have used my image
on at least 20 'jobs' including corporate brochures, large Duratrans (4) in
Airport lounges, murals, websites, book covers etc etc. In fact Liverpool
City Council has adopted my photograph as its corporate image in the most
high profile campaign the city has ever mounted. Take heed - this is what
can happen when one of your scans 'goes astray'!

Haven't been involved in a copyright dispute before and haven't decided what
to do next, hence any advice, off-list if deemed more appropriate, most
welcome.

Regards
