Hi Julian,

I now have a 2100, but only set up yesterday so not much experience with it
yet. However, my limited tests with the 7600 (matt black) and 2100 (photo
black) have been like chalk and cheese. Both can produce excellent output,
but thus far I have pretty much kept to a matt / glossy split between the
printers.

On the 7600, ImagePrint wiped the floor with Epson driver output, in my
view, and added the convenience of the tint-picker which seemed to me like
it really worked. It is more constrained in the tints / tones you can pick
than e.g. Lyson SG inks, but I was quite impressed with output.

On the 2100, no chance to check out IP yet... With the Epson driver smooth
gloss papers do bronze, but the driver is more successful on the 2100 than
that from the 7600. Perhaps Epson techs put more effort into the gloss
printing side of things? However, I would say that their new gloss paper's
slightly stippled texture was there to hide some bronzing. I should stress
that this does appear to be slight bronzing rather than dusting... so the
piggies are adhering to the paper OK, you just get those odd reflections
sometimes. If my early days assessments are correct - I wonder if this could
effect profiling ability?

Anyway, nice to print on glossy with pigments... but whilst some pretty
vibrant colours are possible with these inks, the 'feel' of the print even
on gloss stocks is still different to dye prints.

<Ahem> - sorry not to actually answer your question ;)
