Mark Harwood originally asked about broadband at two locations. For him, or anyone with a desktop at home/office and a laptop, look for a Router which allows VPN - Virtual Private Network. This allows you to connect to your base machine from any remote location where you have internet access. Your connection is "tunnelled" and encrypted across the 'net so safe from prying eyes. You are connected to your office network exactly as if you were physically there. I know Windows machines can do this, but not how. Mac users need OS X 10.2. When connected to the 'net select File --> New VPN Connection Window in Internet Connect. You will need a user name and password as well as either a static IP address for the machine you wish to connect with, or a service such as DYNDNS from dyndns.org which reports when your dynamic IP address changes. -- David Gordon =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
