I assume you're talking about a DTP-92 that has standard serial connection. I think they also make versions at are already USB capable. I have an older DTP-92 connected to a G4 with the Keyspan adapter. There's info on it here:

My DTP-92 gets is power supply from an ADB port (some used their own power supply). If you have one that uses the ADB port then you need an adapter for that too. I use the Griffin iMate.
