We have several buildings on our site, and we were advised when we networked them, to do the actual connections between buildings via fibre optics. The reason we were given for this (the same reason from several suppliers who quoted) was that if an electrical potential difference builds up between different buildings you can get a large surge of static electricity through metal strand cables which could be devastating to any equipment on the network. With a potential to lose thousands of pounds/dollars worth of equipment, I'd recommend getting expert advice. regards Steve Bradshaw =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
