I had never shot anything at 1600 before so I was curious to try it out.  The photo was shot under flourescent lighting using the Fuji FL3 color balance setting.   I put the photo on the web at:

I was surprised that the graininess was that nasty looking at 100 percent.  But I have nothing to compare it to so I don't know if it's good in comparison to other cameras or not.  I shoot at 400 occasionally with this camera and those files look just great in my opinion.

Subject: [PRODIG] Fuji S2 1600 files

Dear List,
Does any one have experience of using the S2 @ 1600? How are the results?

The reason I ask is that Leeds finally have a body for me, but no demo stock, so I can't try before I buy...

Fuji states that the noise at 1600 is dramatically reduced, compared to other cameras, so can any body tell me, what's it like please? I would be prepared to accept a quality equal to traditional 35mm (800 neg @ plus 1 or neopan 1600).

Can any one point me in the right direction, before the amex card takes a minor hit...
