Shangara, thanks for the tips - I should have said I'm using OS9.1, not OSX. I'll be studying your words carefully, late into the night, with PS manual in the other hand - not altogether a Mac expert yet, as I said to Patrick Baldwin this morning when he very kindly 'phoned with some similar advice. Thanks also to Rod Wynne-Powell, who also called, great testimony to the helpfulness of people on this list. I've now deleted PS5, and the world didn't come to an end. Ian, I'm not sure that PS7 is so different from the earlier version (looks better & more intuitive to me, if anything) that you'd find it difficult to keep up with your normal work alongside learning the new features - though doubtless others will advise.
