Dear Philip

In short...no.

How would you know how the final picture was to be output...if via
press...what type?...what CMYK profile would be required?...how are the
separations prepared?...
If it's a straight RGB output for an aim print or suchlike, then I and many
others do that all ourselves anyway. Indeed, if we knew the answers to the
questions posed above (sometimes we do, sometimes we don't), we could also
provide our own CMYK proofs too.
The end product is only different from what was expected if there are gaps
in knowledge and understanding (mechanical failures aside!).
I think that most photographers involved in digital are taking control of as
much of the process as is reasonably possible in order that final results
are pleasing to all
