Good afternoon all, Would anyone have a solution to this one?
I have 2 identical 1290's connected to a USB hub, running to a OSX 10.1.5 machine. The printer centre is not capable of recognising both the printers simultaneously so that I can switch between the two. In OS9, the two printers would be identified as USB1 and USB2 in the chooser, but OSX can't deal with it. I spoke to Apple and Epson and they admit the limitation. I'm fairly sure the situation has not been addressed in OS 10.2 either. To work around, I have to delete the active printer in the printer list, unplug one printer, plug in the other, go back to the printer centre and add the new printer. It's a bit last century, to say the least. Does anyone else have this? Is there any other way? Many thanks Simon =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
