Dear Francis, Sometimes when I send an image to the printer, it doesn't print. This seems to happen completely at random. If I cancel the job and resend it, it will work fine! It just doesn't seem as stable as an 1160 working in OS9. You can't set it to run two printers off the same driver - it will only see one printer and when you change between them (by turning the other one off) you can encounter problems when sending a file to the newly selected printer. But sometimes you won't! If you do you have to cancel the 1160 highlighted in the print centre and reselect the new one! It always reverts to a default setting of paper size - it never seems to stay on the previous selection. This weeks' quirk is not to remember the previously selected profile - it reverts to 'same as source'. It didn't do this last week! In OS9 I never set preferences and previous selections seem to remain until changed. Lots of small problems, all of which can be solved, but which add time to a session! I've kind of got used to it not running smoothly and now know how to cope with it. But I persevere with it because in OSX I can set up a queue of prints, burn a CD and go online, or in any combination multitask without problem. I'm not aware that you can do this in OS9. I know Jack Lowe advocates printing in Classic mode as do one or two others on the forum - if anyone who uses this method sees this posting, does it run smoothly when switching back to OSX whilst printing? Thanks Bob Smith for the suggestion for an alternative driver - I will give it a go!
