Silent LaCie's? Blimey that is a miracle :-) Though having seen their new
d2 cases in the flesh, miracles do happen! Their old cases were extremely
cheap and nasty and the drives were very noisy. The new cases are beautiful
and look very well made. If silence is an added xtra, they should be pretty
unbeatable.

Also check out EZQuest's. They are very well made, and a year ago were ahead
of the pack in terms of speed. Obviously times change, but its worth
checking if they have updated their range.

When doing research, look out for info on spindle speeds. A lot of drives
only run at 5400rpm still, a mains powered unit should be running at 7200rpm
nowadays. Unless its a very portable model.
