Just a thought, but which paper was your profile made for? I also have this
slight tone in the white space surrounding images with my profiled Epson
1200, but I always assumed it was just the profile doing it's job, i.e.
putting down a very faint, cool tone to counteract the 'yellowness' of the
media the profile was made for (Epson Photo Paper in my case) and render it
neutral. Isn't this how it's supposed to work?

Others on the list are more qualified to give a definitive answer, but yes
as I understand it, as a printer ages it needs to be re-profiled. I think
the Pro-File scheme is based around re-profiling your printer four times a
year (or at least having it checked) to ensure accuracy. If you know anyone
with a recently profiled printer, why not ask them to print out Thomas
Holm's test image and compare it to one you've printed?

Should be enough to give you a rough visual guide to how your's is doing,
no?
