The Status Monitor counts the droplets of ink, and when it reaches a certain number will show that the cartridge is empty - even though there is often ink in all three CMY chambers. I run a 1160 CIS, and every few days - (printing or not) I run a 360dpi CMYK purge print, so that fresh wet ink coats everything inside to ensure no blockages. So far, no blockages. best William Curwen =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
