Maybe I'm skewed as well: I never shoot reportage or sport. My stuff is
editorial and commercial, mostly film though I'll be interested to see how
my S2 does for commercial clients. I got the S2 with stock principally in
mind - one agency requires file submission in RAW format anyway, and as for
the others it seems to make more sense to shoot in RAW for max file info
then manipulate afterwards, apart from the fact that RAW files occupy less
space initially than the full-size TIFF option. I'm not at all interested
in shooting anything as "lossy" as JPEGs, and only use this mode for quick
test-shots when setting something up. BTW, looking forward greatly to what
I hope will be Adobe support for Fuji .RAF files (really cheesed off with
the slow & cumbersome Fuji LE software) or alternatively MacBibble. I don't
know if the new software will allow me to fiddle with RAW files then
re-save in RAW format - maybe this is a nonsensical idea, not at all
possible, but it's what I'd like.
