FinderPop (shareware) will give you pop-up windows; ZinoRename 2.0 PPC
(freeware) allows you to custom-rename batches of files, incrementally if
required; FinderPop (shareware) and ACTION Utilities� (freeware) add more
useful levels of customisable GUI, and there are loads more out there -
that's just my preferred pick.  BTW, there may be OS X versions but I've
only used them with OS9.1.
