hi Shangara,

were not using the fuji software to control the s2 and maybe thats why it nods off, or maybe as you say below its when the batteries are going,.....didnt check that, whatever it was it gave the disc not initialised warning

Also, I think Fuji recommend that you power from the mains when downloading
images to disk.
true, problem is when half a dozen people using the thing, they take shortcuts ;)

What is interesting (well to me anyhow) is that the 24-120 zoom weve got which was 'orrible on a D1 is really sharp on the S2.

as for metering, it does tend to shoot a little dark.
