Thanks everyone who contributed. I am particularly interested in it from the point of view of sending files to both an epson and a colorspan printer. I knew I had seen it somewhere, knew that the theory was good, just couldn't remember where to find it. The gamut is the main thing. No point in reducing the gamut to that of a cmyk space from within photoshop, when that means losing the gamut possible on the inkjet printer. Many thanks again.
