I think you can run more than one application at a time...try it, the Mac
won't explode. You may get the odd bomb, though...
Shortcuts aren't that different. On the Mac, just substitute Cmd for
Control. The other keys are the same: Opt or Alt=Alt and Shift=Shift.
If anything, shortcuts are easier on the Mac Pro keyboard (not so easy on
the dinky version if you have a pianist's hands like mine - OK, a miner's
hands) because the Cmd key is set further into the keyboard so you can reach
more keys while holding it down.
Took me a while to get used to holding the Cmd or Opt/Alt keys on the right
of the space bar but once mastered, much easier to call up Curves (Cmd+M) or
Levels (Cmd+L) or H&S (Cmd+U).
Of course, if you were a good boy and didn't skip piano practice, shortcuts
should be easier to remember and to execute. Now, don't you just wish you
had listened to your mum and hadn't wasted all that time doing "homework"
with the girl next door but instead done some serious scale and arpeggio
practice? ;-)
