Try to do a convert to profile instead of using the profile in the Print
Space Pop-up, make sure to use the Adobe ACE CMM/Engine. Then set print
space to Same As Source. If this does the trick it's probably something with
your selection of CMM that is the problem. As you don't specify whether you
print from PC or Mac or what version of Photoshop you use I can't offer more
help on this.

Not generally.

Indeed.

They are a cheaper and less accurate version of a custom profile. They may
work great or they may not, it all boils down to how your printer (and
system setup) differs from the profiled printer. If they are very similar
the canned profile will work great (ask yourself how accurate the canned
Epson profiles are even when used on Epson media). If your printer and setup
differ, it will be less than perfect.
