Dear David,

I would like to defend Neil on this one, if I may, and he's not going to pay
me for doing it (as far as I know <G>).

I have dealt with Neil regularly over the last couple of years, the length
of time I have been on this list. Without the list, I would never have
known about Neil and he has saved me A LOT of time and money through his
advice and services.

I would hate to pre-empt Neil on this one but I'm going to take a shot
anyway. He's quite a frank chap and I'm sure he might say, "well take my
advice or leave it - your choice, I'm just trying to help".

He doesn't strike me, and never has done, as a pushy salesman but more of a
service-provider and utterly invaluable for listees. He happens to make a
living from it but how much? That's his business but I dread to think how
little he makes on a profile generation or selling equipment...

I regard my email signature in a similar way to Neil's - I'm not being
heavy-handed (in my opinion) but I'm letting you know that if you want a
really good FlexTight scan done then I'm your man. I can say that now that
Richard has switched to drums <VBG> and I can also say that it is not the
most lucrative side-line in the world to my photography. Again, I view it
more as a service.

Neil's your man for advice on everything accurately colourful, it's worth
knowing about him.

All the best,

JL
