Hi Mathew,

I did find a way! A glitch was throwing me off . When I booted the next day,
my custom setting for no margins appeared in the Paper Size pop-up menu. I
also had to select Any Printer rather than the installed 1290 - go figure,
as they say - before I could see my custom No Margins setting. I'm sure
there's some logic behind it but I'll be d***** if I can fathom it.

If you want to centre an image, try defining a custom paper size and at the
same time define the margins. I haven't tried it but it might work.

For my needs, it all works fine now. I define how I want my images to appear
on an A4 sheet in Photoshop. I then select the A4 No Margins custom setting
and the image prints fine almost to the edge (I'm not printing right to the
edge as image quality drops off and there's more likely hood of rollers
smudging the edge).

I'm not so sure about that. It seems to have the same options but laid out
differently. You can easily get caught out if you print from Photoshop,
though! <G>

Which preview? If I preview in Acrobat Reader, it takes only a few seconds
in OS X 10.2.3.

On a sidenote, Lyson say not to use the cleaning cartridges again. It seems
an awful waste to use them just once and then throw them away. I seem to
remember someone saying you can reuse them...Has anyone used them more than
once and lived to tell the tale?
