I have a client who is considering having a chalk pastel drawing of
hers drum scanned to be made into a print. I had never heard of such
a thing being done with a pastel drawing.

Is there anything that would make this preferable (for her or for me)
to having a photograph using a profiled camera? Can I ask the scanner
operator to scan in RGB and can they embed a profile for me? I have
no experience with files from drum scans, as our workflow usually
involves either my own scans or digital photographs on the 4040.

Any thoughts?

Ellie
