What a useful discussion for anybody about to buy digital kit! Ian: Even for nature photography they still prefer MF to 35mm, and now we can get better than MF quality with very narrow angles of view using 35mm format lenses that "only" cost a few grand. (Fortunately, I still have my Novoflex 400 and 640 - the Nikon 2,500mm looks tempting!)
Bob Marchant: What do you call "high end digital"? I still think that the Eyelike 11/42Mpx is a good compromise for what I hope to use it for, including tiling to use the 166mm image circle of my Schneider 47XL, portraiture/ nature /sport/ architecture/ interiors/ studio with full movements . they can send me a phase one to try if they like. Shangara: >If your photography relies on the decisive moment, you have to be in the right place at the right time, and light, compact gear helps, and a Horseman 11, Nikon lenses and a 24x36mm digiback is useful gear. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
