Dear prodiggers,
I have trouble getting rid of a folder in my trashcan called "Ibook" -
a "left-over" after I backed up my Ibook to my external Lacie FW HD
(60GB blue&silver) a while ago. (I may have been running OS 9 at the
time, and seem to remember I had some trouble with the drive "freezing"
on me while copying so I had to restart and do it all over. That may be
the source of the trouble.) After I tried to delete the old backup, the
folder shows up on my G4 whenever I mount the Lacie drive. Even worse,
now it stays there even after I dismount the Lacie HD, possibly because
I tried to drag the file to the desktop, putting it into another folder
to trash it again without success. I have tried both the rm -Rf command
in Terminal and the freeware program Trash it!, but none of them
manages to delete the file. I am getting the message "folder/directory
not empty", although it shows up empty, with 0 kb. Any suggestions?
TIA
