Dear Niell, Yes raw can be annoying but in uncaompressed mode its not that slow, only when you have noise reduction turned on for long exposures. The D1x now has an optional ram upgrade so you will raraely run out of buffer, it is my understandinf that the kodak has an optional ram buffer upgrade so it should sort out any lag.
