>From my limited inkjet experience the dpi output does not have to equate to
the ppi size of the file.Searching around the net has thrown up a few
theories one being that any print up to 20"x16" only requires 150 pixels
per inch whereas above that, A1 A0 etc requires 100 pixel per inch.A1
prints are fine at 100ppi with the printer set on 150 dpi.Why not try
printing a 150 pixel per inch file on the 2880 setting and see what happens
?One consolation if the quality is not as expected you will not have wasted
a lot of time!

P.S.

Having lurked around on this list for a few years and read the Colour
Management posts with interest I finally made the decision to dive into the
CM pond. The first week was hell then suddenly with click of a button all
becomes clear. From swimming around in the Irish Sea without a lifejacket I
feel i have been transported to the calmer waters of some distant Carribean
Island .I still have a lot to learn but would like to thank the lists CM
preachers for their sermons over the years which have convinced me to
convert.
