Hello all, As a new member, I am required to post an introduction. I am a student of digital photography with many digital programs and tools I am learning. I have Martin's books for PS 6 and PS 7 and use these, along with others to gain valuable knowledge and insight into the extremely complex field of digital photography. I have a complete Nikon Digital setup, including a D1X, a SB80DX, and 3 excellent f2.8 zoom lenses. I have just found an excellent camera flip bracket, made by Newton, to help me take better vertical pictures, as well as help me reduce red eye, without always needing to use PS or another one of my software programs to remove it after the fact.
I also have film and flatbed scanners for transfer of slides, negatives and prints to the digital format. One is a Nikon and the other is a Linotype-Hell. I use 2 dye-sub printers which, along with QImage, allow me to create prints up to approximately 8" x 10". I am looking forward to learning a great deal from the experts on this forum and am happy that Martin noted it in one of his posts to the PS digest. At this point in my life, I do not do any professional Photography work, but I am fortunate enough to have another income which allows me to purchase the resources I want and need (sometimes really only just want, but not need!) to learn this "new" field in Photography and pursue my life long love of Photography. Thank you for allowing me to join your group. Sincerely, Steven Forrest Oregon, USA =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
