I have OSX now upgraded to 10.2.4 on a 6gb partition, and OS9.2.whatever on a 2gb partition. Then a 12gb Applications partition (which includes VirtualPC 6.0), and the remaining partition for Data files. This on a 30gb Powerbook. This was set up by Apple here in Beijing after some discussion with them, also taking on board some advice from others on this list. It seems to work flawlessly so far.
