In message Paul Tansley writes

I deliberately write on my Client CD's with a Sharpie for this very purpose.
If it degrades the CD after a while, great. It only needs to last them long
enough to use the image for the first time, not posterity. I hope it does
make my CD's unreadable soon after they get used.

Dear Paul

I have never liked the built in obsolescence culture, but perhaps there is a legitimate excuse for us considering this approach. So perhaps there is a gap in the market for CD labels that will ensure unreadability in let's say 2 years from being supplied?

Any suggestions on a label that is capable of achieving such a requirement?

Tongue firmly in cheek

Cheers

Richard
