I find the reds much more vibrant compared to RA4 (paper color process). I
find the RA4 reds to be "muddy" in comparison. There are other differences
as well, with the advantages out weighing the disadvantages in most cases.

As an interesting side note, at a printer contest at PMA several years ago
one inkjet printer lost the contest because they didn't "match" the RA4
prints as well as some of the other printers. People get used to muddy reds
and when they see vibrant ones they assume there is something wrong.

What they should have compared to was the original scene. The inkjet would
blow the RA4 away if they had had a bowl of fruit with bright red apples in
it!

Subject: [PRODIG] Gamut of desktop inkjets

How wide is the gamut of desktop inkjet printers, say the epson 2100
compared to photo lab printers??

My prints from the epson 2100 seem to be deeply lacking in color compared to
ones from photo labs.
