Sounds rather dubious to me. If you shoot on negative and the negative is destroyed by the scanning, what happens if the scanning goes wrong - which Murphy's Law says will happen sooner or later? BTW, what's a digital negative? A negative or a positive? Also, judging by recent postings, many would not be happy having their "original digital negatives" on a CD that's been printed and could be useless in a year or two.
