Hi, I would like to intoduce myself as a new member to the Prodigi forum.
I am Martin Wood of Kodak Professional. I am the Senior product specialist
covering all KPro traditional and digital products. I have a particular
interst in the digital area especially, the DCS Pro14n camera and 8500
thermal printer. I am now regularly engaged in trade shows and demos of
these units, and currently working on the successful introduction of the
camera following the excellent market acceptance of the printer.
I hope to learn from, and contribute to this forum especially with any Kodak
product usage advice I can add..

Welcome!
I'm sure there will be a few questions regarding the DCS Pro14n which many
of us have been waiting for. The few comments and reviews (there haven't
been many as few have had the chance to try it out) are a bit of a mixed
bag, especially when comparing it to the Canon 1Ds. Other than
construction/build issues, one of the main worries in my mind is the quality
of the file when shooting in low light. The review on
http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/14n-initial.shtml
was far from favourable, stating that levels of noise in some files was
unacceptable.
As Kodak seemed to be bringing out firmware updates almost daily, can you
say whether there have been any significant improvements since the above
review was written, which will relate to improved image capture, especially
in the shadows?

Thanks & best wishes.

(I was looking forward to the 14n, but unless things change I now think
it'll be a 1Ds as soon as I can afford it!)
